AAMHI aims to spread awareness of the problems faced by the Asian American community within the general student and teacher population. The struggles of Asian American students are perpetuated when classmates and teachers unconsciously prolong the stereotype that Asian students don't need help with anything. This is why it's important that we spread awareness about how harmful this mindset is for the mental health of the Asian American community. To work towards these goals, we worked with over 10,000 schools across the U.S. with the highest Asian American population to create and distribute pamphlets, which contain information about the negative effects of the sterotypes towards Asian American students and what each individual student can do to help and alleviate stress.
